Another great site to spotlight on....

Here's another awesome CDS & CDM blog. I've found so much there I want- I'll be downloading for days. I noticed several Janet Jackson, Madonna, and (best of all) Shakespears Sister tracks. WOW! Before the Eurythmics there were The Tourists.

I ran across this little clip on YouTube this morning while I was searching for some photos and information to put together a couple of custom Eurythmics files. According to the poster this promo video was shot 10 months before Dave and Annie packed their purses and left The Tourists to form the Eurythmics. Here is the exact quote :

Hit single promo video featuring Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart a mere 12 months before leaving the band to form Eurythmics whilst on tour in Australia.

What a splendid little number. I know Dusty Springfield would have appreciated it.

Most wanted.. Right now, anyway...

I've been looking everywhere, high and low- for a very obscure selection of tracks by one Helen Terry. For anyone who doesn't know, she sung back up in the eighties for Boy George and Culture Club. She also had a very brief solo career where she released two albums (Blue Notes & Fortunate Fool) and a few singles. I have several of them on vinyl, but would love to have them in MP3 format. The singles include the following: Love Lies Lost, Laughter On My Mind, Now That You're Mine (which appeared on the Electric Dreams soundtrack) and Stuttering. I've had high hopes of coming across these gems somewhere out on the Internet, but so far have had very little luck of finding them. The only one I have found is the track from the Electric Dreams soundtrack (and the extended version). I will be posting this for you to enjoy soon. I am also posting a YouTube video of Laughter On My Mind. This is a long shot, but if anyone has any of these tracks in digital format, please get in contact with me- I can't quit thinking about these songs!!!

I had a bit of free time this morning, so I've been searching online for some rare stuff and other stuff for friend and ran across this awesome blog. I spent way too much time looking through the posts and haven't even come close to finishing it. So I bookmarked it for later, but I thought it was such a great blog I'd post it here in case any of you want to check it out. Holy crap on toast... It's Friday the thirteenth today!

On Television : Sordid Lives on Logo!

For those of you who have seen the 1999 independent film comedy Sordid Lives, then you have probably heard that Logo has picked it up for a wild season of twelve episodes.

For those of you who haven't seen it, I highly encourage you do so as soon as possible. It's so trashy and so funny you won't be able to watch it just once.
The television show will be a prequel to the movie and will be bringing back many of the stars who appeared in the full length feature. Olivia-Newton-John will be reprising her role as Bitsy Mae Harling (a lesbian singer and guitar playing leather bound lady). Olivia also sings several of the songs appearing in the movie version and evidentially the television show.

On Television : Kathy Griffin Returns to Bravo

Kathy Griffin is coming back to Bravo! This is some of the best news we've heard in a while. When it was announced that her show My Life on the D-List was not being renewed after season two we were so very disapointed. Kathy is fresh and spunky and damn funny. We've liked her for a while- way before her Bravo series. Kathy was on ABC's Celebrity Mole:Hawaii and actually won! We've included a clip below for you.

The First Post

If you're stumbling across this blog, then first off- You're early. We haven't started uploading any content- however we are working on it. Feel free to bookmark us and check back soon. We hope to update regularly and do some affiliates.

I don't know if I'm the only one, but sometimes when life if flying by me- or falling on me- I'm often reminded of music. Some people call it "the soundtrack of your life." From out of the blue I remember a song or song lyrics that just fit the situation I find myself in. I've recently been exploring some of the other music blogs on the Internet and thought to myself "I should do one of those." So together with my partner in life I decided to give it a go. Here you will find some of the music we both adore and devour on a daily basis. Along with some of our life history that may or may not relate to the songs.

I'll try to keep it simple and not bore anyone too bad. *evil grin*

I don't plan on taking any requests for postings, however I don't anticipate that will stop some of you from asking. So go ahead- you never know what may happen.

All music is for sampling only. If you like what you hear then go buy the artists work. I only intend on actually putting unavailable stuff for downloading, but that shouldn't stop you from actually supporting these beautiful souls who create "the soundtrack of our lives."
